Ken Block was killed in a snowmobile accident on January 2nd, 2023.
At approximately 2 p.m., Block’s snowmobile “upended, landing on top of him.” Block, 55, was declared dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the accident.

The new video from Ken Block is released, and starts off with two nice moves and good camera work, all in the first 2 minutes (as soon as they get over the title card bullshit(we already know his name)) after that, not impressive.
the 360 spins moving down the road and across intersections is a nice move, and power sliding backwards to change directions from heading north, to heading south, to 180 around an island in the road, nice.
The slow slides through casino drop offs for passengers? Yawn. If he'd went high speed through the narrow corridors and parking garage entrys and exits, that would have been cooler

the Audi S1 Hoonoitron, designed by Audi Sport specifically for the new Gymkhana video, cost millions. How Audi sees an ROI I can't imagine, but, they also sponsored the hell out of Iron Man
Ken Block’s next video extravaganza, named Electrikhana debuts on October 25 https://www.youtube.com/c/TheHoonigans and I'll post it as soon as it's online.
the preview is at https://www.facebook.com/reel/1254295792084121
Why a Tuesday at noon? Strange. Friday night would be a better idea, or Monday morning when everyone is back at work
the spectator videos from the filming of the Vegas tire slaying were posted months ago https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2022/08/ken-block-was-reportedly-filming.html
The custom EV features four battery packs from an Audi Q7 and a dual-motor configuration sourced from Formula E.
Inside, Block sits far back in the cabin with his feet elevated – similar to a Formula 1 race car driver . It was one of the weirdest seating positions Block had ever experienced.
Audi designed the S1 E-Tron Quattro Hoonitron from the ground up, drawing its design inspiration from the iconic Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak racer.
I hope that this video returns to the exciting pacing and surprise delivery of the first couple gymkhana videos that Ken made, the last couple were completely forgettable.
without looking them up, can you remember 3 videos ago, what was the location? But do you recall the first 2? I bet you do. Those, were awesome. I don't even remember the 10th, where they used 4 locations, or London, or Goodwood, or China, or Buffalo
project cars are not the right thing for driving tests, but it's very interesting to see how a young novice driver copes with one that keeps stalling, when also dealing with street traffic and stop lights
it's also interesting to see what Utah does for a drivers test. Mine was given by my high school principal, and had zero DMV involvement, in 1988, in the upper peninsula of Michigan, where your odds of hitting a deer crossing the road were 100x more likely than your odds of hitting a car in traffic

Ken Block was reportedly filming a commercial for Audi’s electric-car division on the Las Vegas strip, spinning, drifting, and making a smoke show while zipping through the Paris Las Vegas casino portico/courtyard (thanks Steve!)
Audi’s new performance E-Tron will make a starring appearance in Block’s latest production dubbed Elektrikhana
The Audi S1 E-Tron Quattro Hoonitron can be seen at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at the Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, from August 17th through August 21st.
Ken Block’s Elektrikhana film is currently in production and coming out in the next couple of months.

the Hoonipigasus was DOA at Pikes Peak. Maybe they didn't take into account that the more power you make, the more parts you break. 1400hp instantly broke two engine parts. Back to the shop, see ya next year
