In the summer of 1962, a 65 year old woman got lucky, winning this 1962 Dodge Polara 500 in a Coca-Cola bottlers' sweepstakes. Then she drove it sparingly, only 9600 miles in 2 decades. It's got a pushbutton 3spd, a 361, and 323 gears

This 1962 Dodge Polara 500 two-door hardtop was the grand-prize giveaway in a sweepstakes drawing held by The Coca-Cola Bottlers of South Carolina in summer 1962. The car remained with its original owner and contest winner until 1983, and the seller and her late husband acquired the vehicle in 1986.

AAA has a 1961 Polara CHP Pursuit Special

the 383 engine dynod at 332HP 406 ft lbs.  Likely it's that powerful due to the 100 octane, 10.3 to 1 compression, and the hot cam from the dual quad 413

Ironically, it has a Jones speedometer

Irony because the Jones speedometers from 1910s or 20s were sold to civilians with a sign telling police to quit harassing drivers, as they KNEW how fast they were going with a Jones speedometer

If you dig 60's Mopars getting upgraded, and The Roadster Shop work, and are going to SEMA, fyi, it's all coming together with a 64 Polara

chopper icon Jesse James (fan of his work, and in awe of his talent and experience, just not his personality) has The Roadster Shop working their mage level magic skills on this rough project.

As expected, James put his foot in his mouth when he just said this about SEMA " I haven’t really wanted to go to SEMA for at least 15 years or more. Just seems like minitrucker dipshits, giant dumb wheels, and clown builds that are just a huge waste of tubing and sheetmetal."
