Honda Cancels Three EVs, Posts First Annual Loss, upwards of $16 billion in losses, including about $7 billion for the current fiscal year, which will represent the company's first-ever loss in its history.
Stellantis posted a substantial $26 billion loss for 2025 and intends to scale back its EV ambitions. Similarly, Nissan is far from a healthy company, with its CEO going so far as to not rule out selling the entire company. Following in their footsteps is Honda, which just announced an end to its American EV program and a pivot to hybrids, in addition to a major financial loss.

seen today while making the errands rounds of groceries and a hospital visit (YOU MUST visit your friends in hospital, some can't use the internet or watch tv)
when was the last time you saw a CRX?
Proof that a new Mustang CAN look good if it's simply upgraded with racing stripes, hood pins, and most of all, the hood has to have a hood scoop

Today I met a guy with his high school car from 2001, a Honda Prelude, and it's the car he was driving in Fast and Furious. That is pretty damn cool
I'll get more info another day... but what a great high school memory he's got, he had a car, and was an extra in a BIG Hollywood car movie

Honda has announced that it will suspend production at several sites in Japan on January 5 and 6, with reduced operations until January 9., and close three factories in China from December 29 through January 2. Honda had to reduce or halt its operations because of the lack of supply of legacy chips
The trouble began in mid-October when the Dutch government seized it from Wingtech, its Chinese owner, following concerns of illegal technology transfers from the Netherlands unit to its China-based parent company.
This move led to an ongoing spat, which involved Beijing, as it blocked the export of certain Nexperia products, negatively impacting the global automotive supply chain.
It was also revealed that Washington may have had a hand in the takeover, especially as Wingtech was put on its entity list since 2024.
As the weeks rolled by, the Japanese automotive industry said that the conflict could lead to disruption, especially as it can take time before they can either receive components from Nexperia again or find new chip sources.

Honda and Amalgam models, collaborated to make thirty 1:8-scale 1965 Honda F1 race car replica models priced at $29k a piece. Who the hell is blowing that much for a model you can't fire up the engine on?
The 1965 Mexico GP win, with Richie Ginther in the driver’s seat, was the first for a Japanese car, engine, or team in the sport. And at the time, Honda had only been in the car business for a couple of years.

That's probably why it was abandoned, it quit working for some reason, likely ran out of gas... and the owner realized, they had better things to do than to get it off the mountain, and bring it back to life

comparison, a vivid way to appreciate performance. And the best way to compare racing times, is at the 'Ring
the 2017 Honda Civic FK8 Type R shattered the existing Nürburgring Nordschleife front-wheel-drive lap record six months after the VW Golf GTI Clubsport S set it; Honda’s time was 7:43.80
A 996-generation Porsche 911 GT3 RS—with racing legend Walter Rörhl driving—laid down a lap of 7:43
That's shocking

in the swap meet at the LA Roadsters show today, at the Pomona Fairplex, I came across 3 full sets of Hot Rod magazine... this booth had one on hand, plus some other cool stuff! The (ASKING) going rate for a complete set is 1k. No one I talked to had a buyer yet
these binders are just a display sample to grab the passerby's attention. The rest were in the trailer
