I stumbled across an auction of 4 rust free cars the City of Schenectady NY is disposing of, and their 2nd item, is a 66 Marlin. If you want one in great shape, but CHEAP, you ought to see if this 2500 dollar AMC belongs in your garage

 the 1st thing that comes to mind is the Chevy 327

but there was a Jeep 327 (nickname Vigilante) that came from the Rambler 327 in 1956, 6 years before the Chevy 327, and the Jeep 327 was available in the Gladiator trucks and Wagoneers from 1965-68, and it also was available in the Marlin

 How unusual... the AM is across the top, and the FM band  is on the bottom. Must have been at that turning  point of history when FM was in demand enough to add to the radio, but not as desired as AM that had better music.

 Machine and Marlin... only in AMC (American Motor Corp) could they decide on cool names... OK, the Marlin flopped, but I like it. Hell, I guess the Machine wasn't a big success either, but damn... it is a great looking car!
