That comment nails the issue: today’s “push‑button diagnostics” have replaced much of the wrench-turning with multi-step digital procedures. A job as simple as fixing a tire requires software, special tools, registered access, and patience.
When a nail punctures a tire, it doesn't just trigger the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). In modern cars, particularly high-tech vehicles like Audis, a single low-pressure reading ripples through interconnected safety systems. Wheel-speed sensors used by the anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability control feed tire pressure data throughout the car. If one tire spins faster due to low pressure, the ABS control computer registers it as under-inflation. It can trigger faults in stability control, traction control, adaptive cruise, and even parking brake modules.
Techs—whether at dealerships or independent shops—are increasingly frustrated by the rise of “software creep.” What used to be a straightforward tire plug-and-inflate operation now necessitates deep software engagements, including scanning the car’s systems, erasing fault codes, and conducting calibration drive cycles.

New movie about the primo rally racing years, and Audi vs Lancia! "Race For Glory: Audi vs Lancia" with Daniel Brohl as Audi racing director Roland Gumpert, in the 1983 Rally World Championship
The rivalry is often likened to that of a David vs. Goliath tale, as Italy's team manager, Cesare Fiorio (Riccardo Scamarcio) was up against certain defeat at the 1983 Rally World Championships, where they faced off against the formidable team Audi and defied the odds.
Daniel Brühl has taken on the role of another key player in racing history as Roland Gumpert—the founder of Apollo Automobil and, more importantly, the Audi racing director who led the manufacturer to 25 rally championships and 4 Rally World Championship titles under his leadership beginning in 1981.
The trailer expertly lays out the stakes of not only race car driving but also the personal stakes that Fiorio found himself up against in 1983 as he sways German driver Walter Röhrl (Volker Bruch) to drive for Lancia against Germany's reigning champion. It showcases the glitz and glamour that goes along with the heart-pumping world of racing, but also teases the tension-filled rivalry between Fiorio and Gumpert. The trailer also reveals that the film's release date is in theaters on January 5, 2023.

I hope that this video returns to the exciting pacing and surprise delivery of the first couple gymkhana videos that Ken made, the last couple were completely forgettable.
without looking them up, can you remember 3 videos ago, what was the location? But do you recall the first 2? I bet you do. Those, were awesome. I don't even remember the 10th, where they used 4 locations, or London, or Goodwood, or China, or Buffalo
project cars are not the right thing for driving tests, but it's very interesting to see how a young novice driver copes with one that keeps stalling, when also dealing with street traffic and stop lights
it's also interesting to see what Utah does for a drivers test. Mine was given by my high school principal, and had zero DMV involvement, in 1988, in the upper peninsula of Michigan, where your odds of hitting a deer crossing the road were 100x more likely than your odds of hitting a car in traffic

Ken Block was reportedly filming a commercial for Audi’s electric-car division on the Las Vegas strip, spinning, drifting, and making a smoke show while zipping through the Paris Las Vegas casino portico/courtyard (thanks Steve!)
Audi’s new performance E-Tron will make a starring appearance in Block’s latest production dubbed Elektrikhana
The Audi S1 E-Tron Quattro Hoonitron can be seen at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at the Laguna Seca in Monterey, California, from August 17th through August 21st.
Ken Block’s Elektrikhana film is currently in production and coming out in the next couple of months.

the Audi 100 Coupe body shown in the exhibition was actually much wider than the 100 Coupé from Audi. In comparison, the normal 100 would look like a smaller version of it. At Audi, the Coupe body had been modified in the development department to match the chassis of the upcoming Porsche 928, which meant that it was RWD. The V8 engine under the bonnet had a displacement of 5.4L and produced 350 horsepower. The present-day oldtimer was thus an inconspicuous prototype and could carry out the trials without being recognized by the Erlkönig photographers with ease.

Awesomest news of the day! After a contestant on the long-running game show lost out on a prize due to a technicality (yet again), the luxury car company is stepping in to provide that contestant with a new Audi
On Tuesday's episode of Wheel, player Charlene Rubush made it to the show's final challenge, the bonus round, to go for the grand prize of a new Audi Q3. Despite giving the correct answer to the puzzle (which, ironically enough, was "Choosing the right word"), a long pause in her response caused host Pat Sajak to rule it incorrect.
"This one's tough, because you said all the right words, including the word 'word,' but, as you know, it's gotta be more or less continuous," he said. "We'll allow for a little pause, but not four or five seconds."
The ruling drew ire from Wheel fans on social media, with former Jeopardy champion Alex Jacob tweeting, "Come on @WheelofFortune, the woman literally chose the right word. Give her the car."
On Wednesday, Audi's official Twitter account responded to the controversy, writing, "You're a winner in our eyes, Charlene. Now, let's get you a prize."
