I just found out that the parking garage in the grand palace theater in Detroit, wasn't the only parking garage in an old palace theater

when it comes to bridges, what is more unusual and rare, then a cast iron private one, over a public street, in a major city? Oh, and it's got a 3 car garage. Except no one wants to live there, everyone only wants to flip it
Before that, it languished on the market for years. It was first listed in 2015 by an American fashion designer from the ‘90s who bought 9 Jay (which came with the bridge) in 1985 for $499,000, in a bidding war with Andy Warhol.

just because the truck was retired, doesn't mean that tool box bed doesn't have decades of use left! Now it's cut off the truck, cleaned up, and going to be a garage workbench / tool storage
This tool box was mounted in the bed on 2 different service trucks for over a decade.
It ain't done earning a living, not by a long shot. The trucks? They just wore out. Tool boxes are built better than trucks.

The owner of a Windsor Ontario auto repair shop believes labor is one of the biggest challenges facing the auto repair sector, which is why they've built the shop they have, to attract workers of all abilities and backgrounds to service station careers
the new owners invested nearly $1 million to upgrade the operation to include full digital integration, new self-operating equipment, and other features to reduce physical strain and support technicians of all abilities.
"To be able to actually bring in students through our door and show them the stereotypes they may have, about what independent shops look like, isn't really true," she says. "Look at our shop; it's clean, it's technologically advanced, and there are components that are light on the body. There is a lot more of using your mind now with vehicles than actually using your bodies."
"Our biggest challenge is labor, and that's why we've built the shop we've built-to be able to attract all people of all abilities and all backgrounds. We have great partnerships in the community where we're constantly bringing in tours, showing students and young people and parents, that shops exist that are clean and friendly environments where they can thrive and grow," she says.
"We invested our money back into our community, and also, with the way our industry is going, we as a young couple were able to continue a legacy and allow Windsor-Essex to still have an option to go to an independent local business but with service that is elevated and totally transparent," she says.

an inert Cold War-era rocket of the type used to carry a nuclear warhead has been found in a garage in Washington state. How's that for the strangest thing you've ever hear of found in a garage?

can confirm, this is accurate in my garage
I rent a garage for 150 a month. I wish I were paying for one instead, because if my math is right, I've spent about 22000 over the past 22 years, to store my old beast R/T safely out of sun, rain, and the sight of anyone that would do it harm (graffiti taggers, thieves, assholes who would steal parts) and to store my tools.
It also doubled as a place to pack all my stuff into when I moved out of my apartment and thought that living on a yacht for the low cost of a boat payment that was 1/2 of what my rent had been, would be not just pleasant, because a 46 foot Chris Craft is a mighty fine yacht, and San Diego Bay is a very vacation like place to enjoy the breeze off the Pacific.. but that was 3 years until the city changed the laws on the anchorage, and suddenly, I no longer had a yacht to live on, nor an apartment.
