Check out the hand crank start gears on this 1905 Fisher Premier

    I think those are the overhead camshaft drive gears. The crank handle is just connected to the end of the crankshaft.

      Looks all connected to me! Look again. I do see that the hand crank is spring loaded to disengage from the crank, so, yeah... the overhead cam is connected to the crank with those gears, but, I never mentioned them.
