Mehari plastic model kit at Retromobile, celebrating the 50th anniversary

Launched in near-anonymity in May 1968, the Citroën Méhari's debut was at the time eclipsed by the "busy" social news. Today, the Méhari was highlighted with an ABS plastic body panels positioned as on the grid of a model.

The Citroen Mehari was an unconventional cabriolet, with a fresh, relaxed and unpretentious look, which astonishes and revolutionizes the codes of traditional convertibles. Versatile, practical and economical, it was ideal for trips on the beach, thanks to the ingenious ABS plastic body, which made it light and impervious to corrosion and totally washable with a water hose.
