In the 1950s, Ducati aped its rival Piaggio by making three-wheeled utility vehicles.

There was a tiny 48cc 2-stroke called the Fattorino, and then the bigger Muletto. The engines were based on Ducati’s OHC singles, and you could choose from a 175 or a 200 (as shown here). You got a 350 kg carrying capacity and a top speed of around 60 kph, and different coachwork was available with open and enclosed cabs. The red stripe, by the way, was a legal requirement in Italy.

humor found on Reddit

Wife left me. This is where the breakfast table used to be. I get to look at her every morning when I eat breakfast now. Just because I can.

52 thousand dollar Ducati at it's grand reveal takes an embarrassing flop due to the stupid Ducati side stand

the glamour model isn't taking the blame for the bullshit stand failing at the worst time, and the guys are just upset that they have to try and get the bike up without causing more damage to the paint.

That rotating display stand probably made the delicate balancing act more tenuous

the Vincati

a Vincati (all Ducati 750 SS/Vincent 1000cc engine)

The first Vincati was reported by the Australian Motorcycle Action in October 1975, and it was put together by Max Johnson.

In 1972, Johnson was looking for a Vincent but first found a Vincent engine installed in a racing car.

He acquired it and started his quest for frame parts, and the idea of the Vincati simply came as he was assisting a friend in repairing his Ducati 750. He assessed that the Vincent Twin would fit quite well in this chassis and that it would also be a much easier to find a wrecked bike on the market.

After about three years of intensive work including the mock-up, rebuilding the engine and finally assemble the bike, the Vincati was ready and made its first apparition during one of the VOC outing.

Phil Irving, co-designer of the Vincent, was there and made the following comment ‘It almost looks as if it grew there.’ reported AMA, which also commented that ‘Phil Irving was not partial to the many variations and hybrids of the traditional Vincent, these faint words of praise indicate he was not unpleased with the Max Johnson version.’.

this is why women model in advertising... but after getting flack from idiots, this Ducati shop manager showed how stupid the critics are, by giving them what they want... equal opportunity to look at men modeling the same Ducati, in the same pose

Everybody happy now? The shop owner is brilliant, give them what they want, prove they were idiots to bitch about the human condition without offering a better solution, and demonstrate the equal rights isn't just a phrase. I feel sorry for all the beautiful women put out of work by cranky activists... beautiful women can only suffer by the activism of others who condemn the natural method of sexing up advertising. Above, you see the opposite, and I think it's incontrovertible... women in advertising sells, men in advertising is ridiculous, but prove a point

found on http://distractify.com/fun/shop-uses-male-workers-as-models/

but there are a lot more photos of the same comparison/contrast http://www.motocorsa.com/

Thank you Arun Sharma, general manager of the Ducati dealership in Oregon

you can even buy the calendar!

And, best part, all the free advertising of this controversy will only help out the shop that had to put up with the griping. So HA!

They even have 2 years of free maintenance when you purchase a bike there.. applies to IN STOCK models, until Nov 30th 2013 http://www.motocorsa.com/post/two-years-of-maintenance-on-a-new-ducati
