Pereburs enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1942 and was called to active duty in 1943, earning his pilot wings and 2nd Lieutenant commission in April of 1944. At just 19 years old, he was assigned to the 55th Squadron, 20th Fighter Group at RAF Kings Cliffe, England, where he flew P-51s and completed 49 combat missions during World War II.

A 101-year-old World War II veteran has returned to the skies in the same P-51 Mustang aircraft he piloted during combat. It's very likely the last time that will ever happen
Corvette investors haven't been paying attention, but this might just shine a light on the situation bright enough they can finally see the reality, Chevy makes a lot of Corvettes, they aren't rare, they are easy to purchase. It's pointless to try and resell one for profit
A pristine 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coupe with just the delivery 14 miles on the odometer just took a big loss on the resale market.
The loaded 70th Anniversary Edition 3LZ Z07 was on Bring a Trailer, but only sold for $133,000 . That’s nearly $30,000 below MSRP.
On the Monroney it had an MSRP of $161,675
Drive them you morons. If you need to invest for profit, buy a house, or gold

staged video of recovering a Jeep from a river... sure is convenient that it's only 50 feet from the access road, you know? Whatever it takes to get traffic to your youtube ch I suppose
here's the access road I mentioned. Makes it obvious that there's nothing wrong with the Jeep... Hell, edit the video differently, and she fixes the clutch hydraulics, then puts it in the river for the fake recovery video
Here is the same jeep, before the hood and grill were put on https://youtu.be/FRN7OI1-F9o
impressive progress on the rebuild of the Clinchfield Railroad, (wiped out by Hurricane Helene) it's simply cool to watch the process of the boulders getting delivered, dumped, arranged, and the truckers going to get more

the U.S. vehicle stolen far more frequently than any other make or model, is a ZL1 Camaro
It has a theft rate 39 times higher than the average for all vehicles with the model years 2022 to 2024
the lower-cost Chevrolet Camaro, whose theft rate was 13 times higher than the average for the same 2022-2024 model years.
One of the more notable gas stations, where an estimated 40,000 vehicles drive by every day, was built in 1937 is once again for sale... just 6 million dollars
The store and gas station’s current owners bought the property over four decades ago and renovated the roughly 3,000 square feet of buildings on the property.
It’s now a gateway to the Monterey Peninsula to the north and Big Sur to the south.
The real estate agent said the property’s owners aren’t necessarily looking for an owner as much as they are searching for the next stewards of the property.
FBI statistics showed that the Las Vegas metro area saw a 35% decline in motor vehicle thefts from 2023 to 2024. That was twice the national rate: a 17% decrease. It had nothing to do with police solving any car thefts though
National reports credited better anti-theft technology, including moves by automakers Hyundai and Kia to make improvements to reduce theft. Also cited: supply chains are closer to normal, removing the incentive for thieves to steal vehicles for parts.
FBI statistics showed few auto thefts are solved by police. In 2024, Metro’s clearance rate was 8.7%, Henderson was 4.3% and North Las Vegas trailed at 2.4%.interesting how new things still are invented, like clever new ways to make money... some guy figured out how to use Denver residential street parking for his car rental business, so he doesn't have to waste money on renting a parking lot
He appears to be operating within the bounds of Denver’s parking regulations, which don’t specifically regulate peer-to-peer car sharing.
The issue has been ongoing for about a year.
“He keeps adding cars to his fleet regularly,” a neighborhood resident said. “It's just frustrating, and the city doesn't seem to be doing anything about it.”
There’s technically a reason why. A spokeswoman for the city’s Community Planning and Development Department said that while the city regulates how many vehicles citizens can keep on their private property, there are no specific ownership rules for cars parked on the street.

there were only 5 illegal and predatory towing companies in Clackamas County Oregon... not that anyone in the county govt, with a job to keep that from happening, was alert enough to stop before it got out of hand. So, it got really out of hand
The operation resulted in three people being arrested for operating an illegal towing business, two tow trucks being towed, including one impounded, one driver being cited for not having a driver’s license, expired vehicle registration, and failing to register a vehicle, five illegal towing operations identified and referred for civil penalties/enforcement, and 19 commercial vehicle safety violations found during three inspections.
All of the businesses identified in the operation had already received formal warning letters from the State Board of Towing, advising them that they were out of compliance and subject to criminal prosecution.

This appears to have been a fire that started behind the alternator, in the gas pump area.

Willoughby Hills, an Ohio town that charged drivers a fee to contest traffic fines, has just learned that other people won't put up with unconstitutional civil rights trampling, employed while taking advantage of being able to give speeding tickets to the drivers on the interstate that runs through town, in a 60 mph zone.
Willoughby Hills boldly carried on a policy in which drivers wishing to fight a traffic camera fine had to hand over a $25 ‘filing fee’ simply to log an appeal.
“The Constitution protects the right to due process of law before citizens are deprived of their property, including money,” said attorney Bobbi Taylor, who represented the group. “Forcing someone to pay a fee to prove their innocence goes against this principle,”
the police chief of Willoughby Hills Police Department claims the fee came from the municipal court rather than the city, and staunchly denied the scheme incentivized officers to pump out traffic violation tickets.
Because cops with blacked out cruisers are well known to be completely against any policy or procedures that anyone could be skeptical about
It's all about fund raising, and when it's taking place on the interstate, it's to get the money from out of towners. 4 Million dollars in one year.

The cost of keeping tow trucks on constant standby at the Washington Bridge has soared to $6.8 million, more than triple the original budget
RIDOT has maintained at least two tow trucks on 24-hour standby at the bridge since the closure in order to quickly clear crashes and breakdowns. The state currently contracts with five private towing companies for the service, with two trucks positioned at all times and a third operating from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
The state has been spending an average of $440,000 a month on towing for the last year, though the amount varies widely. RIDOT says the trucks cleared 264 incidents during the 12 months ended May 31, putting the average cost at about $21,000 per incident.
Charles St. Martin, a spokesperson for RIDOT, said the original $2 million budget for towing was established when officials believed the standby tow trucks would be a short-term measure. But they soon discovered that the westbound bridge would have to be fully replaced.
Honda and Amalgam models, collaborated to make thirty 1:8-scale 1965 Honda F1 race car replica models priced at $29k a piece. Who the hell is blowing that much for a model you can't fire up the engine on?
The 1965 Mexico GP win, with Richie Ginther in the driver’s seat, was the first for a Japanese car, engine, or team in the sport. And at the time, Honda had only been in the car business for a couple of years.
