A school bus driver from Bath, Pennsylvania has been arrested after police say she abandoned a bus full of middle and high school students at a gas station

The students on the bus reportedly joked about the poor driving until they realized it began posing a threat as the driver was unable to keep the bus in its lane, and that's when they asked Mankos to pull over.

“The major thing on the ride that threw everybody off was when there was a turn, a right-hand turn, and when she took it, she was going far too fast,” said Mason Persiani, a student on the bus when Mankos was driving. “She ended up being halfway into the opposing lane of traffic."

Mankos reportedly refused to pull over and kept driving. Eventually, video footage taken from the students on the bus shows the driver asking the students if they wanted her to call their parents to pick them up. She shortly thereafter pulled over at a gas station and refused to let the students off the bus.

Students opened the emergency exit at the rear of the bus and began to jump out. It was at that point when Mankos reportedly walked away from the parked bus and handed the keys to an employee at the gas station, but not before flipping off the students and telling them to "go f**k themselves."

Police later charged Mankos with driving under the influence

nothing good happens after 1am on the roads

Melissa was leaving Illusions Gentlemens Club in Missouri, at 1 am, they suspect she was drunk because there were open containers in her car, and she drove 2 miles the wrong way down a street without her headlights on, until she crashed into another car head on.

She crashed into Mackenzie, who was also driving drunk, with the headlights off, and had open containers in her car.

One of the women got a broken leg and wrist, another passenger had a broken ankle and wrist.

Sheriff Brad Cole said his department responds to calls for service at Illusions Gentleman's Club more than any other location in Christian County

To get inside Illusions, guns, knives and cell phones are not allowed, alcohol is not served to get around the state law preventing it from having completely naked dancers, and forcing it to close at 1:30 a.m, this allows dancers to strip fully nude and also allows the club to stay open later than 1:30 a.m., which is when bars must close, and those who don't want to go home come to this strip club for all night, all naked, entertainment

That means the club sees the most business of all businesses in the county, after 2am.

While Illusions is a magnet for unlawful behavior at night, the area around the club attracts a much different clientele during the day. Catty-corner to Illusions is Stonebridge Church, and the two have peacefully coexisted since 2005, said Courtney Ennis, a pastor.

However, after the firefight in October 2015 , Ennis said he and other church staff looked for bullet holes or shattered windows at Stonebridge. They didn't find any, he said.

He said that some members of the women's ministry have reached out to the club before, but "we've not really had much success."

At one point, Ennis said, women from the church went to the parking lot of Illusions Gentleman's Club to pray.

The church doesn't condone the business, but Ennis said "we want to show the people there love."

"Look, Ahhm Publicly Drunk"! LAPD's new acronym now that LAPD Commander Nicole Mehringer and Sgt. James Kelly were found blotto, IN A COP CAR, around 1am in Glendale... FOUR MONTHS AGO

Kelly’s blood-alcohol concentration was .20 percent or more.

The two were found around seated inside the black Dodge Charger sedan on April 27 near Lomita Avenue and Brand Boulevard, by the Glendale Police Department who noticed that their undercover Charger "had come to a rest against another vehicle" AKA, DUI, passed out at the wheel and they crashed into another car that prevented their cop car from continuing on - with no one awake at the wheel.

Officers determined that Kelly was under the influence, while Mehringer, who also showed signs of intoxication, became belligerent. It took officers about 20 minutes to get them out of the police cruiser, which had rolled into a silver Mercedes-Benz.

Seated means they were passed OUT. It took over 10 minutes for them to wake up AFTER a tow truck driver had to open the door.

Mehringer and Kelly were assigned to the department's Employee Relations Group, the LAPD said at the time of the arrest.

Police Chief Charlie Beck was likely hoping to be out of office before this finally made it into the news.

Mehringer is one of only 20 commanders in the department who report directly to Chief Charlie Beck. She was promoted in March 2017 to run the agency's Employee Relations Group.

Both drunks have been on paid admin leave for the past 4 months while waiting for the blood test to come back before he got charged.

Not just drunk, but still drinking straight off the vodka bottle, after running into a Nissan Armada back bumper, at 2 in the afternnoon

Radio DJ Big Boy was rear-ended by a VERY drunk driver in Calabasas … and when he confronted the man, the guy pulled out a Deep Eddy Lemon vodka bottle and started chugging while still behind the wheel.

The drunk is Michael Pettersen, a former prosecutor with the L.A. County D.A.'s Office who's been on a leave of absence since January 1, 2017.

It all went down Tuesday Aug 21st, at 2 PM — Big Boy was driving his Nissan Armada when he was smashed from behind.

The DJ appeared to be okay — but couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw the other guy pull out the bottle.

“He just crashed into me and he’s in the car drinking,” Big Boy said … “He is still in the car, still drinking!”

A bystander told the driver to put the booze down — but he refused.

Cops ultimately got to the scene and pulled the man out of his BMW — his pants fell down … and then he did, too.

We’re told the man was transported to a local hospital where he was being checked for injuries and most likely undergoing blood alcohol tests (though you can guess what they’re gonna show).

The area where the collision occurred is near The Oaks — one of the most prestigious, elite communities in L.A. just a couple blocks west of Calabasas

he was declared medically unable to attend his arraignment today, and due to the likelhood of "conflict of interest" of his former co-workers among the city DA, he's going to be facing the State DA office attorney at his trial for felony DUI.

South Carolina woman who was drunk and stoned ran a stop sign at twice the speed limit... and tried to talk her way out of going to jail.... based on her high school and college grades. That, that is really damn drunk. 0.18 on the analyzer

The 32-year-old told the arresting officer she shouldn’t be jailed because she was a cheerleader, a dancer and a sorority girl who graduated from a ‘high accredited university.’

Also, she had perfect grades her whole life, was a member of the National Honor Society,’ and she mentioned her partner is a police officer.

‘Making statements such as these as a means to justify not being arrested are unusual in my experience as a law enforcement officer and I believe further demonstrate the suspect’s level of intoxication,’ the officer wrote.

a Breathalyzer showed that her blood alcohol level was .18, which is more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 in South Carolina.

the deputy commish for the Georgia DNR, was driving a 2015 Corvette on Georgia SR 11 on Sunday with 9 jars of moonshine when he crashed into a stop sign, before landing in a ditch

the 48 yr old told cops he swerved to avoid a deer, but five of the nine moonshine jars he was transporting were leaking onto the floor of the Corvette

Officers noted that the driver had bloodshot eyes and alcohol on his breath, and wasn't wearing shoes. Finally, it took him "several failed attempts" to eventually blow a .146 during a breathalyzer test

Florida drunk driver hits 17 cars while trying to park

Troopers said 25 year old Tony Futch was driving a blue 2003 Chevrolet Blazer and struck the 17 vehicles in eight different crashes while maneuvering his SUV around the lot.

Around 4 a.m., Futch rammed through the gate of the Gate Condominium complex at 1550 Calder Blvd., off of Osceola Polk Line Road near Interstate 4 in Davenport.

According to the arrest report, Futch drove in circles and when he came near the exit of the residence’s parking lot, he crashed against multiple vehicles to his right.

He made three other turns and hit a number of parked cars before approaching a parking spot, where he hit two more cars.

Futch had his license suspended for a driving under the influence in 2013, troopers say.

illegal alien deported to Mexico 15 times in the past 15 years drove drunk in San Diego again, caused a crash (felony DUI hit and run) that put a boy into the hospital ICU with head injuries.

A mother, father and their 6-year-old son were returning from a trip to Disneyland when, according to the survivors’ family, a man in a pickup truck turned a corner, smashed into their car and sped off.

The crash happened on a Saturday in San Ysidro (San Diego's southern most area on the border with Tijuana) The family was a block away from its home when their car was struck by a truck that blew a stop sign.

The 6 year old spent 3 weeks in the hospital with a fractured skull, and returned home. His child safety seat was the most impacted location of the car.

2 Orlando police officers have been convicted of drunken driving and another has been arrested on the same charge... but that's not half as disgusting as the next drunk driving cop news:

Prince George’s County Police Department arrested one of its own officers Thursday after he crashed his cruiser in an alleged drunk driving incident.

Police Officer First Class Christopher Brown was driving a marked cruiser when he clipped the back of tractor trailer, lost control of the vehicle and hit a guardrail around 2:30 a.m. Thursday near Pennsylvania Avenue and Interstate 495. Police said Brown initially left the scene of the crash and returned a short time later.

Brown, who joined the department in 2009, was involved in another drunken driving crash in his police cruiser in 2012. Police arrested Brown following the Oxon Hill crash. Brown pleaded guilty to charges of drunk driving, speeding and failure to control his vehicle, according to court records.

Brown has been suspended from the department after the most recent incident. He is again charged with multiple counts of driving under the influence and speeding.

the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension admits breath tests are more than 3 times as inaccurate as urine or blood tests, potentially negating hundreds of pending DWI cases were drivers were close to the legal limit

Yesterday, in court, for the first time, a BCA scientist revealed that they are now willing to share just how inaccurate Minnesota’s breath tests actually are. The number they cited was basically “0.01,” an uncertainty figure that specifically applies to tests around the 0.08 level, and more at higher levels.

Consider this fact, helpfully provided by the Department of Public Safety: annually, Minnesota sees approximately 2,000 drivers who provide a breath sample between 0.08 and 0.09 and get charged with a DWI. With this new information, those drivers are very much "not guilty."

It’s not often that science prevails in a legal battle, especially when government scientists are doing their best to convince judges that the science doesn’t matter.

 Today it matters.

the news from last week that you probably didn't hear about, a drunk driver on June 7th, results in five funerals in Kalamazoo this week.

They are covered in flowers, ornaments, and handwritten notes. Throughout the day, people stop to look at them, to pay respects, and to confirm what happened on this road on Tuesday, June 7 was real.

Five bicycles, painted white.

9 cyclists on an early-evening group ride were struck by the driver of a Chevy Silverado 2500, right near the line where Kalamazoo ends and Cooper Township begins. Nine riders. All nine hit.

Four of the cyclists were injured and hospitalized.

Five were reported dead at the scene.

The southern Michigan bicycle group was planning to make a 28 mile trek from Kalamazoo to Plainwell (note: I lived there from 1975 to 1979) and back, when they were run down by a drunk man in a pickup truck.

3 separate calls had been made to police prior to 630 pm, reporting erratic driving by a pick-up truck of similar description through yards near homes. Many police were dispatched to find the drunk driver before he caused a tragedy, none succeeded.

Those killed and injured were members of the Chain Gang bike club, cyclists who liked to ride on Tuesday afternoons, enjoy the camaraderie of fellow riders, then have refreshments at the end of the ride.

The crash appears to be the worst known in terms of cyclists killed in a traffic collision.

The drunk driver had a previous DUI charge in Tennesee, and here is a photo of him from his facebook page. With a beer, and the truck

Ordinarily I wouldn't post a photo of the drunk... but I changed my mind when I saw this photo he posted Dec 2015

http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2016/06/photos_of_damaged_bikes_pickup.html

I will also take this moment to showcase the hatred out there for bicyclists, to call attention to the jackasses that feel entitled to the whole road, even when they are sober... here is what Marty Fine had to say on facebook:

Marty Fine As sad and tragic as this was...in turn the penalties for bicyclists not obeying the law should be enforced. Also if bicyclists want to use roads intended for motor vehicles, the should also have a license, registration and proof of insurance, and obey the rules of the road. I pay a lot of money to drive on these roads. Prayers to the victims in this situation.

My reply:
Good idea, take this tragedy, and show how much you hate people on bicycles who ride on roads. No doubt you'll be in the headlines as the next asshole that runs over bikers in a drunk rampage because you've got issues with how much road you feel entitled to. YOU pay a lot of money to drive on roads? Is there a toll for assholes?

https://www.facebook.com/KzooGazette/posts/10153485909451851

And Jeff Witwer left a comment, that you can better understand when you see this photo from his facebook page.
