one year later... nearly two hundred Kalamazoo-area cyclists rode silently in memory of five friends who couldn't be there, one year ago a pickup truck crashed into a group of bicyclists out for a leisurely ride to Plainwell and back on June 7, 2016.

A ride to specifically remember those lost in the 2016 crash is scheduled for 6 p.m. on June 7.

The rides will depart from the Kalamazoo County Health Services parking lot located at 3299 Gull Road and remain silent. A recommended donation of $20 will go to Kalamazoo Strong toward building a physical memorial near the crash site.

on May 17th, during the Kalamazoo bike week and Bike Film Fest, friends and family took a slow, silent ride to pay tribute to these victims and other cyclists who have been killed or injured while riding.
