Yup, pretty much if it has a VIN, they will save it. Almost all the panels are reproduced by Gerson. Some of the splitty restorations rival high-end exotics. It's amazing what they will do, especially in Europe.
'Salvagable' is the right term. Still, there's more to work with than some of the Kombi's that have been drug out of the Vienna woods. Poor old thing with the headlight wiring dangling there looks like the buzzards came and plucked out his little eyes. No doubt the engine and transaxle are gone too.
I haven't seen a Bus go for less than a $100,000 in years...so somebody that has a body shop will fix this and make a huge profit.
