Illustrations from the series Great Moments In Early American Motoring, Harry Anderson

This seems to be the only painting of a rumble seat convertible top, and I've only seen one in real life

  1. The car in the second to last painting has a folding top over the rumble seat. Have you ever seen one like that in real life? I don't think I ever have.

    1. One time only, it was an option from Ford, and probably other companies, and I saw it at the 2014 GRNS it's called the Tux Away Top, only offered in 1932 http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2014/02/ive-never-seen-rumble-seat-convertible.html and I'm astonished I ever saw it even once... most drop tops will be parked with the tops down, especially at an indoor car show.
