  2. Words of thanks aren't enough, so here's Beethoven's 'Ode to Joy' sung by 10,000 Japanese:

    1. yes. There's only one way to visually demonstrate a post. There's just no other way to exemplify 48 thousand of them, but a lumber yard full of posts

    1. Awwww, your welcome! Is that a Navy Bravo Zulu I see? Very cool! Did you spend a tour or two in the Navy? What did you do?

    2. More than a tour or two...24 yrs. I ended up as the guy you stood in front of if you got in trouble. and yes, its a big BZ for your efforts over the years.

    3. 24? Damn, that's a lot of ironing and inspections! Compliments to your perseverence! Ships? Planes? Sea Bees? Seals? Subs? huh, all the cool stuff starts with the letter S! HA! I was subs, and stayed out of trouble. I didn't make enough money to lose any to njp! I went out and did that "see the world" thing, long before 9-11, when we did nothing but war games, and was lucky to get to Australia, Hong Kong, Jebel Ali, Japan, Korea, Hawaii, Orlando, Ct, and Vancouver. What a ride.... crewed on 2 subs, had one shore duty at Miramar as an MP, and made friends with the best shipmates. What a crazy life. How about yourself? Did you see the world? Or did they chain you to a desk?

    4. Ships...drove them and chased subs for a living. Did get to see most of the world having spent 15 yrs at sea on multiple deployments and a bunch of shorter cruises. Only continent I didnt step foot on was Antarctica...but got close. I'll date myself and say ive been retired longer than I was in. And thanks for your service. Not enough serve their country anymore.

    5. True, politicians forgot that they were supposed to serve the country as statesmen, and now seem to be fixated on the money and retirement benefits instead. Thank you for your service as well! I was in for 10, and have been out for 22. It's no surprise to me that most of the people that enjoy my blog are over the age of 50, as the stuff I post about, seems to only interest people in my age range. Not many younger people are interested in the variety of Model T accessories, etc etc
