Happy 906 day! It's National Yooper Day! And also, a opportunity to recall the most common of the best flowing heads for the 440 cu in Mopar

the 906 area code is the only telephone prefix area code for the upper peninsula of Michigan, the common nick name of the unique people who live there is the Yoopers.

And you're welcome for being the last defense of the USA to the aggressive Canadians who at any moment could decide to flood over the border with their poutine and beer, and maple syrup, and ruin the economy of... well, beer companies and microbreweries, and them New Englanders who make maple syrup.

Yup, by keeping the great Lake Superior deep and cold, we single handedly prevent the ragin' canucks from wiping out the American culture. Whens the last time you found a Canadian nickle or quarter in your change? See? Not through us! Those goofy people in Washington are too soft though, with that big warm Pacific keeping them above freezing in the winter... they might be slacking off on maintaining a staunch defense against Canadians, so beware if you're on the west coast.

  1. Canadians don't want to ship our excellent microbrew beer down to the US. It's in limited supply and we want to keep it all for ourselves. Most Canadians are just too polite to tell you. Just keep buying the Labatt Blue and Molson Canadian swill that we ship down there and we'll all be happy.

Poutine from Ontario is not very good. You can have it, but you probably don't want it. Most restaurants make it with shredded mozzarella instead of proper cheese curd. I put vinegar on my fries, preferably malt vinegar. It drives me nuts that the only places in the US where I can find vinegar for fries are fish and chips shops.

    1. Look at that.. I went fishing for a Canadian, and I found one! Ha!
yep, it's got to be the right curd cheese, Mozza is just wrong. Monterey Jack is better than that, if you can't get the right stuff. ha ha! You're excellent what? Give over, there is no great Canadian beer! Molson... Moosehead, laBatt... HA! It's a sad day when you realize all the good beer is made somewhere else and you have to import it. I drink Stella or Guinness. Oh the malt vinegar fries.. a tasty treat, darn right.
Just keep that darn change on your side of the lake!

Yes, you just keep believing that. Our plan is working perfectly. We send down Molson, Labatt's and Moosehead and you think that's what Canadians consider "good" beer. (I hear the Aussies do the same thing. They export Fosters and keep the good stuff for themselves.)

I have to do something with all these pennies now that stores in Canada no longer accept them. ;)

    3. Ha! You clever guys... you better keep good beer a secret, it's the only thing preventing a rush over the border to invade. Lord knows you have nothing to worry about from loud mouth Hollywood celebs come election time.
Yes, those Aussies - your cousins to the south - have the rest of the world thinking they value Fosters and Vicky... and trying to keep Pirate Life a secret.
They even ringed their island with great whites and crocs to keep down the immigration. I heard the Canadians lined the borders with Grizzlies to the south and Polar bears to the north to cut down on yankees sneaking in a night in boats to raid the bars.
They stopped taking those damn pennies? Seriously? That's fantastic! I hoep the word gets out and the rest of the planet does away with them too! useless damn trash. I can tell you that right today I walked past a dozen of them where the car wash guys toss them out of the cars... no one picks up anything smaller than a quarter anymore. I see a couple dimes every week.
Well, stay outta trouble this weekend! Go fishing!

  2. You better be careful with them Canadiens they'll send Red Green down here with a good supply of duct tape and fix us all.
