someone finally woke up, and realized that the Detroit Auto Show in the winter is a bad idea. Might be the fact that corporations quit the show, or that people would rather be in Vegas for CES, and not the winter weather, that caused this reality check

the Detroit Auto Show is moving to June 8, 2020, after the final winter show in Jan 2019

and a lot of attendees have had to wonder, would going to Detroit in January mean getting stuck there when airlines couldn't fly out on time due to weather?

Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, and Volvo are among the major automakers that don't go to Detroit anymore. Porsche in fact has pulled out twice in the past decade. Michigan has one of the lowest penetration rates for cars sold by internationally flagged automakers.
