cool things with wheels, since 2006
I often wondered if this would work. I think it would be OK with snow, but the weight would be my biggest concern. Super labor intensive installation too, even if someone gave you the tires already cut.
I'm thinking that the black rubber would give the snow more chances to thaw and freeze due to the black color and heat retention, vs a tin roof, or tar shingles. Also, tires would be harder to shovel the snow off of.
Yes but think of the great potential of roof top marshal arts movie sense. No one would ever fall off. Sorry, couldn't resist that observation.
Ha! Seriously! Ninja's would never ever be heard sneaking across the rooftops. Odd, Ninja's and Zorro are the only guys that do the rooftop thing. I can't think of anyone else that has a rooftop scene in every movie
You left yourself wide open for a snow tire joke. I'll pass! On a similar note, I've thought of doing a license plate style shingle. I don't like the ones I've googled. I think they need a half inch right angle bend to give them a shadow line. It will look better up close and from a distance. Those tires do look neat tho.
