For some odd reason, Tom Cruise's bodyguard had a copy of the new, so far unreleased, movie Maverick.... and it was in his car, which was stolen.

A source told the publication: “Tom had been driven around in the car while in Birmingham and some of his luggage and belongings were inside it when it was taken.

“It’s since been recovered by police because it was equipped with an electronic tracking device but everything inside it had gone.” The thieves were said to have used a scanner to clone the signal from the car’s keyless ignition fob as it was parked outside Cruise’s hotel.

  1. Honestly, I can hardly believe if anyone have a hard copy of any unreleased movie in 2021. Even the star of the movie. The studios learned the lesson in the past not to give out hard copies. And why would Tom Cruise have a copy with him? For per-release screenings the studios have streaming servers and they know how to guard those properly. For me... Well... It sounds like a media hack for free publicity. May of 2022 is so far away and they lost lots of money on merchandise. For example during the last Christmas season, in my country the stores were full with Top Gun: Maverick themed die-cast toys on sale.
