another 60 year old design that would probably sell well in today's country club world of mega millionaires, the 1957 Jato Walker Executive 8-horsepower Kohler, gas-powered golf cart.

The three-wheeled vehicle was designed by a Kansas farmer and inventor named Max Walker after a salesman friend, who suggested there might be a market for a gasoline-powered golf car.

At the time, the batteries in electric golf cars would sometimes not be able to finish an entire round of golf. Max, even though he had no interest in the game itself, designed the Walker Executive Golf Car.

His project, however, was short-lived as with improvements to battery technology, electric alternatives took hold and he sold the rights to Jato Manufacturing.
