yesterday morning on the Don Holt Bridge (Charleston SC) a deputy was stopped behind a tow truck that was picking up a stranded car when the patrol car was struck by a dually towing a car carrier. (thanks Allen!)

The deputy was seriously injured and the wrecker driver was knocked off the bridge into the Cooper River, and hasn't been found yet. And to top it off the driver of the dually jumped out and ran away from the accident, he was later apprehended.
