I had the fuel pump on a old vw go out and used a tube sock soaked in gas stuffed in the air cleaner to get it back home. I had to stop and refill the sock about every mile or so.
Daaamn! That worked?!?! Wow. Was it slowly dripping the gas into the carb, or sucking the fumes through the sock?
