someone needs to test the filter efficiency of kitchen sponges.. because if they are half the cost of an air filter, I think a lot of people will simply go and make their own air filter

    Just be careful using scotchbrite or other pads that have an embedded abrasive. You could end up worse off than with no filter.

      I just found and posted something similar, a 3M dust mask for people to use over their nose and mouth, used as a dust filter on a motorcycle
