A '67 Impala was given away at Comic Con! The tv show Supernatural is ending with season 15, and to thank the fans, they gave away a replica of the shows iconic Impala to a fan!

After waiting in the line for the wristband the night before, arriving at 5 am to get on the grass (among the last 20 to get on the grass Sunday morning, just past the metal detectors) we Hall H fans learned around 8 or 830 that some actors from Supernatural would be coming into the lines and we MADE space happen!

I'm not a fanatic fan for Supernatural, but hey, it's a good show I appreciate and enjoy watching. You know? Some people can quote everything, know all the trivia, know all the actors, plots, and whatnot from every episode. I'm not that focused on stuff that isn't cars and vehicles.

Anyway, a couple actors, including Mischa Collins walked into the chutes and passed out cookies with stickers that said “SPNFAMILYVALUES.COM. Let’s Do This. #SPNFAMILY.” When you visit the URL, it re-directs you to GISH, where you can help donate to send supplies for Humanitarian Aid. (a moment to say, holy shit, they are clearing unexploded bombs from the Vietnam War from farms in Laos - among other amazing things they do)

The Supernatural family is known for being one of the most, if not the most, charitable fandom in television. They’ve raised a significant amount of money and supplies for various charities over the span of years.

Why am I talking about what happens in the lines? It's not Fight Club. We can talk about it! ALSO, and MOST importantly, I want to give credit to the actors and celebs that aren't afraid to MIX with fans, who are spending the night camping out, or doing shiftwork as a team to get into Hall H (the team I helped to make and have been with for a couple of years, ISurvivedTheHallHLine, https://www.facebook.com/groups/1657613071227048/ makes sure that getting into the Hall H is going to happen for all of us, we even have some activations covered, and help each other with plans, news, advice for new to Comic Con people, etc.

If you're thinking of going to Comic Con in the future, OR have been doing it solo, and found how hard it is to see more of the 4 day convention, because you have to wait in line, I recommend you group up with other people who are like minded (example https://www.facebook.com/groups/sdccbh/ )

When you are AT a convention for something, whether it's Comic Con, SEMA, D23 Expo, CTN Expo, etc etc, YOU have found your tribe.

Inside Hall H, a couple hours later, the panel moderator had talked to the actors, directors, producers, show runners, etc,

they opened the panel to questions from the fans, and about 7 went to the mic line, and asked one question a piece... but then, there was a really cool video played on the big screens

They showed footage from the show of the characters finding a good project car in a junkyard,

and taking it to Rick Blevins auto body and paint in Kansas, which made a perfect replica of the show car

Then they blew minds away in the standing room only, most important panel of the day.

The stars from the 15 year running show on Warner Bros. TV announced that someone in Hall H would get that Impala delivered!

the ghost and ghoul hunting beloved Chevy Impala, a.k.a Baby was not up for grabs to every fan in this last Supernatural panel in Hall H, but the 6 or 7 lucky fans who got up to the mic to ask a question had a representative number written on a disc, which were put into a black shwag bag, (below)

and number 3 was drawn out by Jared and Jensen pulled keys out of.

A stunned woman named Laura D from Grants Pass, Oregon is going to get the car that tens of thousands of fans will be waiting to show up at a car auction, Bring a Trailer, or Ebay... because someday the woman, or her estates executor will know just what a money maker it is for a different fan that will want to take it to car shows, Supernatural show fan conventions, etc. Hell, it will probably even be sought out by Comic Con booth builders who will want it as a draw

Do you think I'm over emphasizing the fandom for the car? Don't start doubting me now, here's proof

See what I mean? 72 events a year

Even actors and celebs LOVE the recreation cars:

if you can identify the above signatures/autographs, that would be cool!

Is that Ellen Degeneres?

Lower left is Conan I'm pretty sure

So if you don't watch that last video about the fan built replica until at least the 7 minute mark, you're missing a lot
