over on Hagerty, the issue of 0-60 being an obsolete method of performance statistic is raised... why? Because vehicles are now far too powerful and can't find traction to indicate best 0-60

it's an interesting perspective... your car's 0-60 is reflected by if it has traction, unlike in the underpowered cars of the past, which were truly showing that their engines had limited power by the 0-60 time.

Now? Motocycles can't achieve better numbers, because they simply can not find traction, and do wheelies, and with pro riders - they'll get different numbers based on skill of the rider.

Hell, the point it brought up that reaction times are now far more a factor in 0-60s than the cars power. Now that 0-60 are less than 6 seconds on a LOT of vehicles, that reaction time and traction factor in a LOT more.

  1. Any vehicles today have 0-60 times better than Corvettes from the past. Including mini-vans
