I know I'm old and cranky, as it's getting annoying to have to learn shit I ought to ignore. That has to be a definition of cranky old man syndrome. Take this AMC Hornet for example

Hot Rod Magazine has a gallery of this Hornet wagon at El Mirage... and not a damn word on the site explaining whose car it is, why it has Georgia plates, and why it's getting a gallery at El Mirage.

So, I had to get the answers myself.

They have a new guy, not based in Georgia, but in the HQ in El Segundo, and it's his Hornet, and they sent him to cover the El Mirage event last summer.

Did he run it? He didn't mention it. I don't see an El Mirage inspection sticker, so probably not. So then why take photos of it for Hot Rod, at El Mirage? Again, seems to not be a good idea, unless you're making an article about it, and he didn't... so it's just annoying all the way around.

And that's a good indication I'm not getting enough sleep, and that this new guy at Hot Rod is annoying. Just write a fucking article about the car already dumb ass

I had to look through all the features by the same writer to find another with this car, to then read it and discover yup, it's his, no, he's never saying a word about it, and nope, he's not mentioning why he hasn't registered it in California (required if you live here, unless you're fraud claiming to live in another state to evade smogging the car)  and though this is a 72 - old enough to not require smog, when you live in Cali - they want the registration fees (about a hundred dollars) and extra expensive California insurance.

Ah! I finally found an article on the car https://www.hotrod.com/articles/cannonball-record-attempt-47-year-old-station-wagon-c2c-express-part-three/

  1. He built the car with Finnegan from roadkill on "Finnegan's Garage" on youtube. It must have been a year or so ago but you will find some information on the car there.
