Going back a couple years to 2015, I had made a note to post about the Cadillac that Automobile Magazine was using for a year

it had a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty.

What the actual fuck?

Cadillac can't guarantee the build quality and materials they use, for anything longer than 12 months? I've got a beard longer than that for christsakes

Seriously, is that the shittiest warranty of any new car manufacturer, or do all waste of money luxury cars have a 1/10th the warranty of a Hyundai?

Source, Automobile Magazine, Jan 2015 issue, page 92

So, I look over at Cadillac's website, and pick a simple car to look at to see what the warranty is now... for accuracy verification, and it's not listed https://www.gmfleet.com/cadillac/cts-sedan.html

but what is surprising, is that you can get a 2 liter, turbo charged engine, a 3.6 liter with or without twin turbos, or a 640 HP, 6.2 liter (I think that's a 350 cu in) supercharged engine. That's quite the width of the variety to choose from for a Caddy CTS

So, finally I dig into a Fleet Guide to see if there is a comparison chart, for warranty on the variety of GM vehicles, comparatively.

Finally I spot the 5 year 100,000 mile "available" warranty claim  "WARRANTY First things first: the strength of a warranty. In this case, an available 5-year/100,000-mile Limited Powertrain Warranty on every vehicle we offer for qualified fleets. It’s a warranty that protects your fleet and your bottom line."

All Cadillac Master Coachbuilder-converted limousines and extended sedans are backed by Cadillac’s Professional Vehicle Protection Plan for 3 years or 150,000 miles

All Cadillac Master Coachbuilder-converted hearses are backed by Cadillac’s Professional Vehicle Protection Plan for 6 years or 100,000 miles

finally, at the bottom of the PDF, about where I expected them to bury the warranty chart, I found
