so, it doesn't say "Solid Mardon", but instead says 'solid maroon'. Hmmm, I think you might see where I easily was unable to discern between a smudgy O and D.

By the way, thanks for being my 'go to' place to get my questions answered about car stuff!

  1. Solid Maroon color? Not red with white top, red with red top? Ha! I'm just guessing. Casey

  3. Might be time to get the eyeglasses updated, the invoice reads "Solid Maroon" as in the car's paint color.

    1. glasses updated? Just did, now I can't read the damn laptop screen when within arms reach.
Sorry, your humor is countered by the irony that your suggestion was already implemented, but the results weren't what I'd hoped for. The glasses are an improvement for distance, but are worse at close range.
So the first O in Maroon looked like a D

  5. Mardon? Maroon. When I sold GMC Trucks, I received a computerized printout of the equipment for a particular heavy-duty GMC with a "moister ejector." The typist did not know that the product is a moisture ejector. I often wonder if the had ever seen a moister ejector.

  6. That appears to be a maroon paint code for a 1962 Corvette.
From the VIN, it appears this one sold at auction in 2017 for $154,000
