So damn true.... ain't everyone that ever was in the military since 1985 sick to death of safety briefs? Stand downs? All that crap the jet jocks started with tail hook!

And every all male sub crew had to sit through endless damn hours of sexual harassment training instead of learning something that would be useful on the job.

It's like getting blamed and punished for what your cousin did, because your parents are damned sure that you're going to do something as fucking stupid the first chance you get

Yeah, teaching submariners to not sexually harass women because a bunch of jet pilots and their upper echelon of Admirals who covered up for raping their co-workers? Stupid, useless, and way the fuck off the effective mark.

Teach the damn jet heads to keep their damn hands to themselves, and learn their admirals how to be leaders instead of the military Good Old Boy network, covering up for each other in order to achieve career goals in the O Gang.

  1. Agreed Jesse. Fly boys should have been dishonorably discharged, and so to the brass. And maybe jail time too! That's the proper lesson.

    1. I guess that was about 30 years ago... I don't know, and am not going to waste the time trying to look up the outcome as it pertains to the flyboys, but damned if at the time it was day in and day fucking out that we had a solid week of sexual harassment training. And then it was the topic of the training on a regular basis after that. Not a woman around for miles.
It would have been justice to learn that every pilot, co-pilot, wingman, squadron headquarters, hanger maintenance, and lounge lizard had 5 times as much as they worked with women every day.

    3. It a damn fine line isn't Jesse. We're all guilty until proven innocent. And that's not right. Those of us who keep to ourselves, do what we were hired to do, and take care of business just have to grin and bare it. (Giant collective sigh.)
