Im not a pilot but I cant tell what went wrong?looks like they started turning before they had enough altitude?or were overloaded ?

They were doing ok till they turned,ive never flown a plane, but I know you lose alot of lift when you turn.small plane is like a truck.you usually run out of weight capacity before you run out of space.
well that's a damn good point, so, they were doing ok, but were barely out of tree top level, then lost critical feet of altitude when changing course, instead of maintaining their heading and gaining a couple more feet before turning?
