32,000th post

And for some reason, today Gary and Richard felt the need to be critical....

So, if anyone else is in a mood, and feels I'm not taking care of their expectations in a satisfactory way, you can either ask yourself if you really feel it was necessary to be critical? OR go away

Do I appear so clueless to you? Did you see me drooling on my keyboard? Licking the windows?

Have you seen the 11 years of 32000 posts?

How about in the future you don't comment with things that are obviously going to point out that you think I'm a fucking moron.

I don't like it.

It shows zero camaraderie, friendship, and no respect.

What the hell are you doing looking at my blog if I'm such a god damn inept idiot that I don't know the Barris batmobile was made from the Futura concept? Or that the timeline was lacking a little something in the ?

I got things to do, that don't include wasting more of my time answering to you or checking the survey of satisfied customers. THIS is a blog. Might even be a good one. I was doing my thing over here before you came along, and might be long after you wander off. This isn't for you, it never was.

But if you have reason to point out that it isn't up to the standard you've come to expect and you want a refund? Go talk to Tony and Vito. They handle refunds.

Me? I don't charge, and I don't refund. I spend my time looking for stuff that makes me happy to share. If THAT ain't good enough for you? The other websites must be doing pretty fucking bad for you to not zip over and spend your time with them instead.

  6. WOW, I don't know how you count them or care......the material is ALWAYS interesting, even the ones that don't interest me carry me to appreciate the subject, and sometimes make me a fan. KEEP UP the great work....anything with wheels is a great tagline and pretty much covers' it.

  7. You have a great blog because it isn't just cars. You always come up with off the wall shit that's unexpected and really interesting to break up the one subject theme so many blogs suffer from. You got it right, so just keep on keeping on and we'll be tickled pink.

    1. thanks! It's incredible how much stuff there is that's entertaining and interesting from the past 130 years of vehicles! Ok, sometimes I even get back into horse drawn stuff, or statecoaches... but who in the hell can find any desire to continue coming back and reading new car reviews? Why are so damn many sites nothing but new car reviews?

  8. You have no idea how meaningful your blog is; it is art. Just a Car Guy is the one web site that truly lifts my day – really. Cars, mechanicals, art, airplanes and reflections on times past – I appreciate your style! Thank You!! Oh, and the sense of fun and humor.

    1. Awww shucks, thanks! I get it that a lot of people like it though. Maybe someday I'll impress one of two people... the future Mrs Car Guy! Ha! Lol, or someone who's looking to pay a living wage for me to do this fulltime

  9. Jesse, it's called "tall poppy syndrome" where people who don't amount to much find delight in mocking, bullying or hating those who achieve great things. You have experienced this and no doubt it will happen again. Ignore it. You have many fans who appreciate your great work.

  10. Amen to what the others say, Jesse. I can't believe the incredible variety and where on earth you keep finding new stuff.

My favorite site and blog, that's for sure.

    1. I've wondered about the depth of the well I keep dipping into also! Just how many incredible stories are in that thing? And that some have never been written up before? Blows my mind. The Leslie Special for example, no one ever put together the 3 movies it was in... they simply regarded it as the movie car from The Great Race. I was stunned that I came across it in 2 more movies!

  11. Some people would complain if they were hanged with new rope. I think this blog is awesome and I have spent many happy hours looking at many years of past posts. Mostly I do this in my office instead of working.

    1. Lol... thanks, mostly I do this blog in my office instead of working, but then, I got lucky and the slow days simply have nothing more work related, and I still have to be there 8 hours. It turns out, there are a lot of jobs where someone simply has to be there for a couple hours work a day, but sit around keeping busy for the rest. I finally found one!
