This 1969 Buick GS Stage 1 has been upgraded to the 1970 Stage 2 Racing Package specs using factory-correct parts. 12 to 1 pistons, dual quads, 4.78 gears.. wow

Must be quite a beast.

The Stage 2 was a 1970 Stage 1 455 block, improved cylinder-head design, headers, 12.0:1 forged pistons, a radical cam, an Edelbrock intake and a dual Holley 850 CFM carbs.

The Stage 2 was an owner-installed package for owners seeking a serious drag-racing weapon that combined the low-end grunt with 510 lb-ft of torque with the mid-range and high-end power delivered by the high-performance camshaft, heads and carbs.

Although Stage 2 parts were available through the Buick-dealer network, they are exceedingly rare with only 75 sets of Stage 2 prototype development heads ever produced for purchase by the public.
