Oh, this is fantastic! He painted fake shutters around the waist gunner window, and a flower box underneath... that is great humor! The Swing Shift Baby, a B 17 in the 452nd

S/Sgt. Henry Warden from the 452nd Bomb Group putting the finishing touches on the artwork around his waist gun position. Several pictures of this plane, Swing Shift Baby, appeared in a book made by photographer Tony Vaccaro who served with the 83rd Infantery Division, including the left waist window and its artwork, thus identifying this plane.
