a 10 year scale model diorama of a machine shop, just WOW. I admire everything going on here.. The GB Machine Works Co. (Click on each image for a full screen version)


1500 hrs of machining, scratch making, and building the machine shop in 1/12th scale. 

 All machines are copies of a real machine (see the last image in this gallery for the list…) for instance, the mill is in the Ford Museum. 

All power take offs work, tables with ”T” slots, and there is an office with a ceiling fan in the office run by the overhead belting system, and a roll top desk with a bottle of Scotch in the bottom drawer for bad days.

All drawings are the blueprints used for machining, just reduced in size. There is one part on each machine station, being machined. 

The time clock has time cards with names of friends who also machine things.

The machine shop cat has not seen the rat yet under the work bench.

  2. You find the best stuff , those tiny working machines are incredible . The man must have very good eyesight for that detail work .
