Like so many cool names for WW2 bombers, some crew with a different aircraft in the Pacific theater, had the same name as a bomber in the European theater

This is a B 24, https://www.greatbigcanvas.com/view/wwii-u-s-army-airplane-the-mission-belle,2244511/  and https://www.flickr.com/photos/dougsheley/6128877153/in/photostream/

Built by Consolidated at San Diego, flown overseas to Australia, assigned to the 5th Air Force, 90th Bombardment Group, 400th Bombardment Squadron.

Nicknamed "Mission Belle", with the nose art of Hedy Lamar's character "Tondelayo" from the 1942 film White Cargo.
