You won't notice it, unless you know it's there: The black car has a special 'male' license plate holder (the wider horizontal aluminum strip) with a flat spring and two buttons. The white car probably has one too, and on the back of its license plate there's a 'female' strip that is bolted onto the license plate. Thus you can easily transfer the license plate from one vehicle to another. In Switzerland you can have up to five vintage/antique vehicles using the same license plate, the logic behind it being that you're only out there driving or riding one of them at the time anyway.
