supercharged straight 8 Packard engine roaring off the starting line



The engine is an 327 cu in straight 8 taken out of a 1948 Packard.  I posted about it back in 2017... haven't heard of it since http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2017/03/the-straight-8-packard-sure-sounds.html I suppose it was probably sold to some collector that never enjoys using it

  1. Okay, THAT is the most bad ass sound I've heard from an engine since I heard the BRM H or V-16 at full chat going by you on a race track. I would love to hear this Packard on a track. And it's super charged too. 😁

  2. Saw the same car in Bonneville back in 2007, they were just cruising around the pits. Thought it was really a neat car! Tried to attach a picture but can't..
