Jorge Marques made this to celebrate the 1907 Peking to Paris race, it's in the Automobile Museum of Malaga collection, who had it in a exhibition on the Marques de Larios street

Above are several famous racecars, like the Marmon Wasp

This gentleman on the flywheel area is dedicated to Prince Scipione Borghese, winner of the Beijing-Paris of 1907

  1. It's a six cylinder engine, but I can't figure out the exhaust/intake set up.

  2. That’s because it’s artistry over accuracy. Engine shaped canvas for the painted designs of events being celebrated.

    1. Bruce I do get the artistry part of it, and beautiful it is. But the mechanical part of me is always looking for how it works. I did figure out the intake/exhaust set up. It just took me a bit as I was not familiar with this engine. The finish in that motor looks like fine porcelain china.

  4. My Mom had tons of that Holland Delft stuff...nothing this cool though. My Dad would have wanted that on the Coffee Table.
