wow, strange co-incidence, I just learned that the artist who did one of the most iconic American paintings also did these other two I've liked

I just posted this 2 months ago https://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2018/11/the-album-cover-art-of-crush-by-omd.html

Just found this right now  http://poulwebb.blogspot.com/2010/12/edward-hopper.html

and this one that needs no introduction, which I didn't know until now, were all by the same painter, Edward Hopper

  3. The Brandywine Museum holds many Wyeth paintings at their home turf in Chadds Ford, about 15 miles from me. My god what a talented family, N.C., Andrew, Jamie, Carolyn, Henriette.

  4. Love Ed's Mobil station with attendant. Look how well dressed he is. That's when service station attendances took pride in there job. Ed captures this time in America that is so endearing to me, and perhaps others. He has a real knowledge of how light and shadow works in his painting too. Thanks Jesse for posting this. Great stuff sir, great stuff.
