In Feb 2011, the automotive collection in the Henry Ford Museum was photographed for the first time, Mark Harmer was the lucky guy to do it, some interiors in 360 degree online views

The Henry Ford Project

In February of 2011 I was given the opportunity to photograph the collection of cars at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. We set up a studio in a back corner of the museum and for ten weeks cars would roll into our set in random order. You never knew what was coming next. It might be a Ford Model T or a Bugatti Royale. The surprise was all part of the fun! The collection had never been photographed as a whole. We set out with the goal of capturing full exterior views as well as interior details of every car that would be in the new exhibit. The original intent of the project was to suppy images for the multimedia displays in the museums new "Driving America" display. Now the book "Driving America" has been released. I have to say this was the job of a lifetime and I am proud of every image. I enjoyed every minute with these wonderful automobiles as well as the time I got to spend with their thoughtful caretakers at The Henry Ford.

you can see a quick little slide show of the book here http://www.markharmerphotography.com/552939/the-book/
