  2. I'm just a Corvair guy, and while I don't know if the young woman with the big hair is Priscilla or not, I do know the Corvair is a 1963 Monza, not a '64.

    1. that's nice, Pricilla says it is a 64. So, while I don't know your expertise, I know she has owned the car, and just might know wtf she's talking about. Or not. I don't care https://photoblogchat.blogspot.com/2017/07/priscilla-presley-reunites-with-first.html

    2. “The car was a graduation present from Elvis,” she reminisced. “He gave it to me in 1963, so it was a 1964 model; red with a black interior and yes, I loved it. Can you imagine? It was my very first car and the fact that Elvis picked it out for me made it very, very, special.”

    3. The 1964s had wheel-lip moldings, the only early models to have them, and they were integrated into the rocker panel moldings. They're not on this car, just the rocker moldings with the black stripe at the top. 1964 wheel covers did not have black paint on them, and that taillights had chrome rings around the center, not the vertical chrome accents on the '63, as shown here. Sure I'm an expert on Corvairs, but don't take it from me; this is early to look up.

    4. Well, I do not have time to look up stuff, and, you know that right? Well, maybe you don't, but, I'd like you to know that I can't fact check stuff, and still keep posting stuff.
So, it's not like I care if Elvis bought her a 63 or 64, I think it's just fantastic to learn that Elvis bought her a Corvair. THAT is what I spend my time to look for, fun stories. The fact checking is not what I want to spend time on. I DO rely on the source of where ever I get my info, photos, articles from - to either be accurate, or be fact checked by nice people like you.
      So, okay, it's a 63, and she's mistaken.

  3. Let's see... the got it in '63. The Classic Cars Today link says '63. I say '63 and I've owned 30 Corvairs and own a '64 today. And finally, these links to original Chevy brochures show the '63 has black-accented wheel covers a black-striped rocker-panel moldings without wheel-lip moldings, while the '64 is different. She's allowed to be mistaken about something she's not an expert on. See for yourself: ’63 Brochure pic:
