this is new to me... a way to punish traffic for being impatiently waiting at traffic lights. I'd have made shorter red lights myself, because I'm not mean. But police? They are mean, and came up with punishment instead. Police are power tripping assholes, all the world round
Using a horn is for warning other traffic about your presence, not to signal your frustrations about being stuck in traffic. Doing the latter is not only stupid and inconsiderate, but lowers life quality for everyone around. If there's a better way to teach drivers and riders not to uset their horns every f****** living moment they have, I'd love to hear about it.
ReplyDeleteAn elderly friend of mine was driving home in slow moving heavy traffic when the clutch cable in her car snapped. Not knowing what else to do she put the hazard lights on and sat in her now stationary car, holding up the traffic. No one came to her aid but the man in the car behind sat with his hand on the horn continuously. At this point my elderly friend got out of her car, walked back to the car behind and offered to sit in the car for the man so that she could keep her hand on the horn button for him whilst he tried to drive her car out of the way. Needless to say he stopped sounding the horn and helped push her car to the side of the road!
