  2. Beauty of course is in the eye of the beholder, but I have always had a soft spot for the E type.

  6. This is like telling one of you're 3 daughters she is the most beautiful. so E Type S1 it shall be.

  7. It is very close; the C-Type, however, is artistic sculpture nose to tail.

  8. D.I wonder how many people have actually seen all three. I've seen the D and E but never a C.

  10. I still vote for the C Type!

A bit of trivia. The 3rd D Type pic is an XKSS. When the D Type was retired from racing Jaguar started converting the last D Types to road going versions - the XKSS. Only 16 were sold before the devastating fire at Brown's lane stopped production.

The 4th D Type pic is the long nose variation used at Le Mans

Speaking of Le Mans, the XK-120C won in 1951; the C Type in 1953; and the D Type in '55, '56, '57. Only other Jaguars to win were the XJR's in '88 and '90.

  11. E type. Decidedly biased because my neighbor had one. Bought it new ( year end leftover) in 67. At one point it even had a trailer hitch installed.

  12. That's like asking to choose between Kiera Knightley, Emma Watson, or Gal Gadot. I love the D with all my heart, but I wouldn't kick any of them out of the... ah ... garage.

  14. E-type.

I remember the 1st one I ever saw. Near Vanderbilt University, yellow S1 with a knock-out blonde getting out of it.

  15. E-Type Series 1 - I bought one in 1975 for $400 (as a non-runner), rebuilt it and drove it regularly until 1995.

    1. you're killing me Dave, I was really pulling for the C type. Congrats on your E type! Wow! Did you sell it and profit handsomely or have you just retired it from daily driver? I met a woman a couple years ago at the laundramat who uses her late 60s E type as a commuter.
