Victor Bouffort was a supply driver during WW2, and smuggled jewish children to Switzerland in his truck, after WW2 he invented scooters, sports cars, tanks, and other vehicles

pardon the irrelevant photo, but there simply aren't a lot of photos of this man, and this one shows his own try at a sports car, with only 3 wheels due to their high cost. Lack of funds prevented his success with it.

During the German occupation of France, Victor Bouffort’s task was to bring supplies to Swiss residents living in France.

With every journey he made, he risked his life: he would hide Jewish children in his lorry and then take them to Switzerland, saving them from being deported to concentration camps.

In his life after WW2, he went on to design many vehicles both civilian and military, but I'm just focusing on this one heroic humanitarian effort by a car guy.
