According to this website, that ambulance was retired by their fire department. It looks like the 2004 Chevrolet Kodiak under Retired Apparatus. The same Ambulance number 21-72 is assigned to a Ford now. Maybe a fire department in CA bought the ambulance.
I looked a few years back on their Facebook page and I didn't see anything about when it was retired. I did learn that fire departments perform wetdown and push-in ceremonies when they get new trucks, sort of like christening a new boat. The push-in ceremony dates to horse-drawn fire equipment, which had to be pushed into the fire house.
