this had to be at the diner on the airfield


I wouldn't doubt that this was taken at Miramar. They had an NES diner practically under the control tower, and it made sub sandwiches with names derived from Navy aviation vernacular

But normally, there are no clouds in San Diego.

  1. It's an air-show VIP corral. (Trust me, I've sat and drank and eaten in many of them.) The giveaway is the cheap mini-picket fence and the temporary structure. And at that, it is PhotoShopped. I can't believe those spectators aren't looking at the F-16.

  2. The only way you would see an F16 that low, would be when it's about to make an unscheduled landing.
