I'm showing you something you haven't seen in a while, something you probably forgot about, a thing I haven't seen in years

and it wouldn't be much fun, or at least I guess it might be more fun, to guess what it is, because if I told you what it is, just like a magic trick, the surprise factor would be destroyed.

Answer at the bottom of the next post, here's hoping you are as amused as I was to realize the situation and be nostalgic about it.

    1. no, they left the headlights on when they got out of their Bug, New cars auto matically turn off the headlights, and so people are out of the habit of turning off their headlights. So, I realized the nostalgia of the situation

  3. In most of my cars I bought a device at the auto parts store that hooked in the fusebox, between the headlights ad the dome lights, if you opened the door with the lights on, it buzzed to remind you.

and new cars, surprisingly, dont turn the lights off, my 2016 silverado will drain the battery

and with all the new cars having daytime running lights, everyone forgets to turn on their lights at dusk,
and thenew vehicles, like my 2016 silverado, lights up the background lights on the instruments and gauges anytime its running, so you think the lights are on, since for 80 years, cars were made so the lights in the gauges didnt come on unless you have the headlights,

  4. I usually leave my car lights in the Automatic position. If it's raining or foggy, I'll try switching to high beams to see if the headlights are on. If the lights are off, the high beams won't work. Then I'll turn the lights on manually if I want them.
