do you think this would work?

  1. I think it would work. Make the sign so it spins if a truck hits it. Also put red lights on both sides of the road, about where the cars are. If the sign is hit, the lights blink...

    1. I'd rather they install bollards (than red lights) that raise up and stop the truck, so it doesn't hit the bridge, requiring it to be inspected for engineering damage that would compromise it's usefulness. Lights are nothing more than another indicator... which a driver who is ignoring indicators (signs) isn't going to be reached by. The red lights would be as ineffective as the sign saying that the bridge is only 12 ft high
