a radial engine made from VW bug engine parts, using VW 1200cc cylinders, pistons and modified cylinder heads.

The seven heads and cylinders he used are those from a VW 1200cc Type 1 engine and have been modified to fit the homemade crank case.

You’ll notice that the heads are not the familiar shape most of us are accustomed too, as they are now round singular units. To achieve this (see the video) Arnold cut the heads in half and welded the end of one to the other to get them as round as possible before milling them down to the required size and shape. The pistons and cylinders remain unmolested.

The result is a 2086cc radial engine that weighs around 85kg and pumps out an estimated 70hp.
