the desire to build a vehicle people have not seen before, that is interesting, but not abbhorent, and cool, is getting into some esoteric stretches of defining "vehicle" . Consider this 1935 Autocar cab

  1. This the stupidest "thing" I've ever seen. What a waste of time.

    1. if you mean this, you've led a sheltered life, and not been online for more than 30m minutes your whole life. Congrats, you said a mean thing about someone elses craftwork, and put down something many people admire. Take a moment, think about the stupidest thing you've ever seen online. This isn't even the stupidest thing you've seen this week online, or you've been blind to Kardashian and Bruce Jenner winning woman of the year award. Try and be less critical, it's the effing xmas season, and odds are, you're christian. I'm not. But them religious types are supposed to be emulating jesus.

  2. Jesse, you are right, I should have said this is one one the stupidest "rat rods" i've ever seen. You are also right that I should be less critical, especially about what you post on YOUR blog because I thoroughly enjoy 99.99% of the stuff you post. I enjoy the wide array of content and your curiosity. I'm not christian or any other religion and wonder what that has to do with my comment? Cheers to you and keep up the good work!

    1. Most people are christian in the US, so I've heard, and I was leveraging those odds to remind you, if you were, to be more kind toward others, especially at this time of year. I'm not religious either, and when I see something so stupid it must be commented on, you know I do. You've seen it right here. Cops for example. You go ahead and be critical, and give your opinion, I don't care what anyone says, even me. Cheers right back, and thanks!

  3. They started out cool years ago, but by replacing street rod ghost flame paint jobs with elaborate scrolled metalwork, rat rods have effectively traded one type of pretentiousness for another. And the $3000 build-off budget for this truck is a joke; I've built three hot rods from the frame up and I KNOW what it costs to get one on the road.

    1. the parts on this car alone probably cost more than 3 thou... but I suppose it's possible (not damn likely) that they already had the parts laying around if they could all dig through their own garages. But if 3k was the limit, there's no damn way that less than that amount of money was paid for the parts at one time or another
